Big Man On Paper

As many of you know, while I'm currently not working (and job seeking), I do have plenty of other activities to keep me out of trouble. For example, be sure to RSVP at http://bit.ly/MissionRedTix for the Mission Red Pre-Event Ticket Sale party. Here are the details:

In addition, here are some other opportunities to catch my glimpses of my non-blog life:

And in that spirit, here's my Zone 4 "Avatar"

Yes, that's me in all my glory. You can see me in the flesh on August 2nd if you RSVP.

Various & Sundry Online Shenanigans

Yes, there's more blogging goodness coming down the pike, but I thought I would take a little break and shill for some of my appearances with other people.

(Plus, I'm gearing up for Free Comic Book Day and a visit to Logan, my godson, this Sunday. So here's a way you can have the experience of being with me without coming to the blog).

  • You can check out my latest entry in Metroshrink, my non-profit social media blog. It's a little interesting, and hopefully, will crack the Internet in half. Or get bloggers in a tizzy. We really like tizzies, especially on bagels with jelly.
  • Be sure to download tomorrow's episode of Zone 4, the excellent Comic Related podcast. I made a guest appearance, and in this episode, we discuss Superman's citizenship, and I make numerous inappropriate comments. Plus, it's got Ron Fortier.
  • You can also read my various entries in that fine Sherlock Holmes blog, The Baker Street Blog. And a note - [STUD] is an abbreviation for this Conan Doyle Holmes tale, and not a description of my often blinding handsomeness.
And as always, if you keep reading, I'll keep writing. That's my personal guarantee.

Good News For the New Year

First, going to be starting a new freelance gig on Monday. It's a good first step towards my going back to the non-profit world, and although I'm surprised that it only took me three months to get back into the working world...I'm not complaining, especially in this climate.

Secondly, I'm going to be writing more social media/non-profit stuff in my new blog, Metroshrink. This way, I can concentrate on building up this blog as more comics/pop culture/Chicago highlight stuff. There may be some crossover, but I would like to separate my "professional" blog from my personal one.

Finally, I'm hoping to have a new podcast recorded and posted by this weekend.

You know, this makes up for a really crummy holiday. I can only imagine what my birthday in March will be like....
