I Have A Good Excuse For Not Blogging - Honest!

Thankfully, I am starting to pick up a little bit more professional activity - last Saturday, I gave a presentation on using SEO in job seeking; I've posted a slideshow of photos taken (not by me, obviously) and you can read my exciting PowerPoint by clicking this link. I've written a little bit about that experience for Chicago Now's Job Stalker - without being too snarky, I only wish there wasn't such, er, colorful commentary leading into the piece.

But I digress...I also just met yesterday with a new client as part of a freelance arrangement I have with Greater Southwest Development Corp. I'll be mixing my social media/online expertise with my love of community development. It's looking very promising, and quite frankly, I think is a step in the right direction for me. (I'll also be looking for other work both freelance and full-time). Plus, based on a recent e-mail from a fellow podcaster, I may start reviewing my notebooks and seriously considering (gulp) writing comics....and on that note, I forgot to mention last week that there's a new column up on Comic Related that you might want to check out.

And finally, the latest Zone 4 podcast is up. (I wonder if I should restart my personal podcast, but focusing on other things). I had recorded a guest appearance on Why I Love Comics, but the BBC snuck into pal Eric's house and wiped his computer, making the episode the podcast equivalent of Power of the Daleks. As always, here's the Zone 4 trailer:

So if you would like to help me not sound better on the podcast - click on one of the affiliate links in the upper right corner and buy something. I get a little cash back, and can buy headphones and food for the cat, but not necessarily in that order.

only excuses for not blogging:  grave illness or injury , or a hot romance gone wild
