Welcome to the 2014 Cheapskate Film Festival!
Awhile ago, I held the Cheapskate Film Festival on the blog - a week of DVD reviews based on movies which I had purchased from a discount chain.
This year, I decided to make it even more cheap - every movie (and one television show) that is being reviewed was checked out of the West Lawn branch of the Chicago Public Library. Why?
Simply, it's within walking distance of my home. CPL has an excellent interlibrary loan program. And quite honestly, libraries are the greatest places on earth.
So on that note, check us out tomorrow - it's going to be a very fun week of great DVD recommendations. Meanwhile, I'll be prepping for....well, you know....that charity thing I do around Thanksgiving
